I hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday (to those who celebrate) with family and friends. My aunt passed along to me this poem from civil rights activist and theologian Howard Thurman, which I thought I’d share with you all. If this isn’t your sort of thing, fear not – I’ve been home so I have a lot of recipes coming your way, and running updates too! But for now, Thurman.
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among brothers,
To make music in the heart.
– Howard Thurman
